Working in Kibera slum, you come one on one with orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) who have dropped out of school due to financial challenges. The financial challenges are due to either death of parents, divorce, separation or lack of regular source of income. In 2016, VICOCAP started Secondary school education program where every year at least one orphan is sponsored to join Secondary school. The organization started IMKE Education Fund where funds mobilized are channeled into the fund to support these OVCs. VICOCAP has conducted various local fundraising initiatives to raise funds to educate this OVCs. The initiatives include organizing events like breakfast and lunch events, conducting a walk and mountain climbing to raise the education fund.

The organization promotes education savings scheme for caregivers and parents to save money earlier for their primary and secondary children. At the end of each year, the savings are given back to the beneficiaries to buy basic amenities like uniform, text books or transport back to school. Many caregivers and parents have embraced this scheme which is affordable and convenient to them.

The greatest challenge in the program is the big number of orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) knocking VICOCAP office seeking for school fees financial support which the organization does not have.

The immediate needs of the program are:
